Privacy Policy
Meredith Law Office, PC · Scheduling service at https://schedule.meredithlawoffice.com · Last updated October 12, 2026
This policy covers the scheduling service at https://schedule.meredithlawoffice.com (the "Service"), which Meredith Law Office, PC (the "Firm", "we") uses to arrange phone, video, and in-person meetings in connection with legal matters. It applies to clients of the Firm, to people a client refers to us, and to professionals who receive a release of information from a client.
Information we collect
- Contact details you or a client of ours provide: name, email address, phone number, and your relationship to the family or case.
- Scheduling details: the appointment time you choose, how you prefer to meet, and any notes you add.
- Consent records: when a client confirms you agreed to be contacted, and when you agree to receive text messages, we record the date, time, the exact wording you agreed to, and the network address of the device used.
- Release of information forms, where a client chooses to sign one, including the child or children named and the provider named.
- Technical logs needed to run and secure the Service.
How we use it
- To schedule and confirm meetings, and to send reminders you have agreed to.
- To carry out the Firm's work on the legal matter you are connected to.
- To keep a record of consent and of releases, as the Firm is required to do.
- To protect the Service and its users.
Text messages (SMS)
If you agree to receive text messages, we use your mobile number only to send the scheduling invitation, appointment confirmations, and reminders described in our SMS program disclosure.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use-case categories exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
You can stop text messages at any time by replying STOP. Reply HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply.
Who we share information with
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers that operate the Service on our behalf (web hosting, email delivery, text-message delivery, and the Firm's practice management system), each bound to use the information only to provide that service to us.
- Courts, parties, and professionals as required by the legal matter, by court order, or by law. Information shared in a legal matter is governed by the rules of that matter, not by this policy.
How long we keep it
Scheduling and consent records are kept as part of the Firm's file for the related matter and retained in accordance with the Utah Rules of Professional Conduct and applicable law, generally for at least six years after the matter closes.
Security
The Service is served only over HTTPS. Access to the Firm's side of the Service requires a password and a second authentication factor. Private links sent to you should not be forwarded; anyone with the link can view the page it opens.
Your choices
- Reply STOP to any text to stop texts.
- Contact us to correct your contact details, or to ask that we not contact you.
- If you believe you were referred to us in error, tell us and we will not contact you further.
Children
The Service is for adults. Children are named in releases and appointments by their parents or guardians; the Service does not collect information from children directly.
Changes
We will post any changes here with a new "last updated" date.
